Saving energy at home
We discussed energy efficiency at our November 2022 meeting with our guests Chris Carus from Loco Home Retrofit CIC and Marc Brammer from LiveEco.
The main practical ideas that came up were all about saving costs by cutting down on heat loss, eg:
- insulating your flat or house, especially lofts
- eliminating draughts at front and back doors
- double- or triple-glazing windows, including windows in tenement closes
