NKCC health walk
The next walk will be on Saturday, 28 September 2024. We will go to Anderston Cross via St George's Cross, Charing Cross and across the Bridge to Nowhere. We return via Argyle St and Kelvingrove Park.
Meeting point
Meet on Queen Margaret Bridge at the junction with Queen Margaret Road at 2pm, opposite our noticeboard.
About the walk
The walk is 7.5km (4.5 miles). It will take around 90 minutes, but longer if we want to linger in places.
We cross Maryhill Road, St George's Road, Sauchiehall St, St Vincent St, Bothwell St, Waterloo St, Argyle St Gibson St and Great Western Road, but all are at signalised crossings.
When we are close to the M8, traffic noise is high. If you are sensitive to noise, please take precautions.

QM Road, Doune Quadrant, Doune Gardens, Striven Gardens, Garriochmill Way, North Woodside Road, Napiershall St, Burnbank Gardens, Burnbank Terrace, Maryhill Road, across St George's Road to New City Road, footbridge to West Graham St, Buccleuch St to St George's Road at Charing Cross, Sauchiehall St, Elmbank St, St Vincent St, Pitt St, across Waterloo St to the Bridge to Nowhere to Anderston Cross, Argyle St to Finnieston, Claremont St, Kent Road, Brechin St, Berkeley St, North Claremont St, Kelvingrove Park, Kelvin Way, University Avenue, Bank St, across GWR, Belmont Lane, Lacrosse Terrace, Hamilton Park Drive, Hamilton Drive, QMD.
Registration
There is no need to book – you can just come along on the day.
However, if you haven’t done so already, it would be helpful if you could record your participation by entering your data on this registration link. (This needs to be done only once.)
Remember…
★ Please wear comfortable shoes
★ Walkers needing 1:1 support should bring a buddy with them to help
★ Children must be accompanied by an adult
