NKCC health walk exploring the Botanic Gardens

We will be exploring the Botanic Gardens on Saturday 13 April.

Meet on Queen Margaret Bridge at the junction with Queen Margaret Road at 2pm, opposite our notice board.

The route

The route is 2.38km or 1.48 miles. It is on paths or pavements. Map below.

We will walk past the North Kelvin Meadow, down to the Kelvin Walkway, through the Arboretum and up a steady climb to the main part of the Botanic Gardens. We will pass the old station as well as the Kibble Palace before returning to Queen Margaret Drive.

There is one section where there are some steps downward but there is an alternative route with a ramp we can use instead if anyone would like to avoid steps.

As the weather may be unpredictable we suggest bringing water and windproof clothing.

Remember…

★ Please wear comfortable shoes

★ Walkers needing 1:1 support should bring a buddy with them to help

★ Children must be accompanied by an adult

Everyone welcome! Bring your friends!
