NKCC health walk to Dundashill

The next walk is on Saturday, 1 March 2025, and will go to Dundashill.

Meeting point

Meet on Queen Margaret Bridge at the junction with Queen Margaret Road at 2pm, opposite our noticeboard.

About the walk

The route is: Queen Margaret Road, Doune Quadrant, Doune Gardens, Striven Gardens, Garriochmill Way, North Woodside Road, Braid Square, the path behind Abercorn School to the footbridge over Garscube Road, up the steps to Speirs Wharf, across Craighall Road to High Craighall Road, Mary St, and via the skatepark to the path in front of the new housing.

After wandering around the area and the sunken garden, we return to High Craighall Road but towards Borron St, and after crossing Craighall Road we return along the canal past the National Theatre of Scotland, leaving the canal opposite the fire station on Maryhill Road and returning to Queen Margaret Drive.

Registration

There is no need to book – you can just come along on the day.

However, if you haven’t done so already, it would be helpful if you could record your participation by entering your data on this registration link. (This needs to be done only once.)

Remember…

★ Please wear comfortable shoes

★ Dress for the weather and consider bringing drinking water

★ Walkers needing 1:1 support should bring a buddy with them to help

★ Children must be accompanied by an adult
